Everything that you do moves you towards or away from your vision, so you should always bear this in mind when making a decision. When you actually stop and think about the effect on your long term vision before making decisions in your life, you will start realizing that a lot of the things you are doing every day are not helping you get to where you want to get to. This will also make you to realize a lot of things that you are doing inefficiently, and how you can do things in a way which will be better for achieving your long term goal, or how you can plan your day to day activities, or where you are putting too much focus.

A long term goal is something you want to achieve in the future. It is important to have great long term goals for a successful bright career. Long-term goals require meticulous planning. They are not something you can do this week or even this year. Long-term goals are usually at least several years away. Many short term goals together will lead to a long-term goal. For example, your long-term goal might be to complete your University Degree with best grades. This could take several years of attending college. Corresponding short term goals include completing your weekly assignment. Scoring A grade in a mid-semester test can be another short-term goal. Achieving these short-term goals helps you to achieve your long-term goal.

The pictures below demonstrate an analogous concept, how important it is to have a long term vision. If you focus beyond the screen you can see something great in these pictures. I am sure you will observe what is there in the picture. If you don’t find anything follow these instructions. There are two white points at the top. When you focus beyond the screen you will notice that the two points will become four points, one pair on left side and another on right side. Adjust your vision such that the right point of left pair overlaps on left point of right pair creating a view of only three points. Keeping the vision at this condition observe what is there in the other portion of the canvas. I am sure you will notice something interesting and appreciate more when you see it in full screen mode. Please write in the comment box what you observed.
