GURU PURNIMA - 2021
Gu means darkness, Ru means dispeller. One who dispels your darkness is a Guru." —
-Sadhguru
The word “Guru” in Sanskrit is translated as “dispeller of darkness.” A Guru dispels the seeker’s ignorance, allowing him to experience the source of creation within. The day of Guru Purnima is traditionally the time when seekers offer the Guru their gratitude and receive his blessings. Guru Purnima, as the name suggests, is celebrated in reverence of one’s guru or teacher. The festival falls on the full moon day of the Ashadha month, which is from June to July, according to the Hindu calendar. This year, it will be celebrated on July 24.

We LITian's have celebrated the festival of "GURU PURNIMA" by reciting shlokas "वसुदेवसुतं देवं ... and गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णु" in Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam. On this day, people worship and pay respect to their teachers. Also known as Vyasa Purnima, the day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the Hindu epic, Mahabharata’s author, Ved Vyasa.
Thanks to Gajera Trust for recognizing the efforts and giving us the chance to be a part of this wonderful family. We LITian’s are overwhelmed to receive Honor and appreciation from the Gajera Trust. Also thanks to all the students for their wonderful wishes.
